What does Nutze cost me?

Nothing. Nutze is completely free for both renters and owners – searching, listing and chatting included. You only pay the rent, directly to the owner.

Directly to the owner at the handover – usually in cash, or however you agree in the chat. Only pay once you have seen the item, and never in advance.

Only if the owner sets one for their listing – a deposit is optional. You hand it over in cash at pickup and get it back at the return if everything is in order.

What happens if something is damaged?

Because you document the condition with a photo protocol at handover and return, damage can be attributed clearly. Owner and renter resolve it together, with our support stepping in if needed.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes. As long as the owner hasn't accepted your request, you can withdraw it any time. After acceptance, the cancellation terms of that booking apply.

Are rented items insured?

Nutze is not an insurer. What helps: the photo protocol, reviews from completed rentals and – if the owner asks for one – the deposit. For high-value items, clarify insurance cover beforehand.
