What does Nutze cost me?

Nothing. Nutze is completely free for both renters and owners – searching, listing and chatting included. Only when an owner uses secure online payment for their listing does a small commission apply to them.

It depends on the listing: either in person at handover, or conveniently and securely online via our partner Stripe. With online payment, nothing is charged until the owner accepts your request.

Only if the owner enables one for their listing – a deposit is optional. If one is set, it's reserved and released automatically after a smooth return.

What happens if something is damaged?

Because you document the condition with a photo protocol at handover and return, damage can be attributed clearly. Owner and renter resolve it together, with our support stepping in if needed.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes. As long as the owner hasn't accepted your request, you can withdraw it any time. After acceptance, the cancellation terms of that booking apply.

Are rented items insured?

Nutze is not an insurer. Your protection comes from the photo protocol, verified profiles and – with secure payment – buyer protection and an optional deposit. For high-value items, clarify insurance cover beforehand.
