Is Nutze really free?

Yes. The platform is completely free for both renters and owners – searching, listing, chatting and renting included. Costs only arise if an owner voluntarily uses secure online payment.

When does the commission apply?

Only with secure online payment. Then Nutze keeps 10% of the rental amount – borne solely by the owner and deducted automatically from the payout. Renters never pay an extra fee.

Is a deposit required?

No. A deposit is an optional feature the owner can enable per listing. If one is set, it's only reserved and released automatically after a smooth return.

When am I charged as a renter?

With direct payment you pay in person. With secure payment, rent and any deposit are only charged or reserved once the owner accepts your request.

What is direct payment?

With direct payment you handle payment yourselves – for example in cash at handover. No Stripe is involved and no fees apply. You can still use the handover protocol.
